Most of the FCS conferences will be represented across the rosters of teams in the NFL conference championship games on Sunday.

Leading the way in the NFC title game are three of the eight most-recent Walter Payton Award recipients – San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (Eastern Illinois, 2013) and his backup Trey Lance (North Dakota State, 2019), and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (Eastern Washington, 2015). Kupp, who achieved a rare receiving Triple Crown (most receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches) during the NFL regular season, will compete against his former Eastern Washington and Rams teammate Samson Ebukam, now a starting defensive end for the 49ers.

Delaware also will have a pair of its former players in action, inside linebacker Troy Reeder of the Rams plus Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Zach Kerr in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
